Madison Beaches Lake Mendota
Marshall Beach: 2101 Allen Blvd. In Marshall Park, near boat launch area.
Spring Harbor Beach: 1918 Norman Way, Madison.
James Madison Beach: 614 E Gorham Street. Nice beach in James Madison Park with volleyball courts, playground equipment, close to downtown area.
Tenney Park Beach: 1300 Sherman Avenue, Madison. This is a popular kids' beach with concession stands, playground equipment and plenty of opportunities to feed the ducks and go fishing.
Warner Park Beach
: 1101 Woodward Drive. The beach is located just north of the parking lot and boat launch area.
Lake Wingra Vilas Beach: 1339 Vilas Park Drive. Big beach, adjacent to the zoo. Because Lake
Wingra is shallow, this beach warms up quickly, and has lots of kids in the water, also many ducks and gulls. Lake Monona Esther Beach: 2802 Waunona Way.
Olin Beach
: 1155 East Lakeside Street. In Olin Park near boat launch.
Brittingham Beach: 701 W Brittingham Place. Large beach in Brittingham park. Located on Monona Bay.
BB Clarke Beach
: 835 Spaight Street. Large beach, near downtown. Olbrich Beach: 3330 Atwood Ave. Large beach in a big park. Popular beach for kids. Near Starkweather Creek and boat launch. |
